Comissioning
I prefer to start any commission by a site visit and a meeting with the client. I usually charge a design fee, which covers my work on the proposal and includes the cost of a site visit. A full budget and timetable will be presented with the proposal.
My preference is to work to an open brief, which gives me the best chance to make a piece of work which is in sympathy with the garden, woodland or landscape.
